About

My journey with drawing began as an escape—a way to turn boredom and discomfort into something I could control. As a teenager in my small Puglia hometown, a ream of photocopier paper became my first canvas. With Bic pens, charcoal, and acrylic paint, I explored dark, surreal worlds filled with hands, eyes, mythological creatures, hourglasses, mountains, hot-air balloons, trees and subjects that morphed into human silhouettes.

After studying accounting—a path that never truly fit—I decided to dedicate myself to illustration. My journey took me first to Turin, then to Pescara, and finally to Urbino, where I discovered engraving and printmaking: a turning point. The precision and discipline of these techniques taught me to appreciate the time and patience required to create something beautiful. Animals, plants, kitchen utensils, food, and the male body became my favorite subjects, not just for their symbolism, but because my attachment to these motifs justified the hours I spent on them.

Now based in Nyon, I draw at home, surrounded by my trusted tools: pencils, calligraphy markers, and those same Bic pens that have been with me from the start. My living space is also my creative space. I sketch whenever an image imposes itself on me, sometimes letting it mature to better grasp its meaning. Printing, on the other hand, is a break I gift myself at the Atelier Genevois de Gravure Contemporaine. There, my inks and silkscreens await. The time I spend there becomes a meditation, a departure from routine, where every gesture matters.

For me, screen printing is a celebration of time, commitment, and process. Each print is unique, marked by the imperfections that give handcrafted work its charm. My themes—the universe, nature, food, the male body—are tributes to what inspires me: the beauty of life and the cosmos, the transformation of necessity into pleasure, and the freedom to depict desire without constraints.

With less time to devote to drawing, I’m now seeking a new approach—a technique that is less demanding but equally rewarding. My goal remains the same: to create illustrations that blend into everyday life and resonate with those who encounter them.
